Empowered women have established the FEMMES SANS FRONTIÈRES Foundation. With the development and strategic programs and methodologies, adapted to societal environments, we will within its framework closely cooperate with national and regional women’s organizations and international associations for equal opportunities and full integration of women. The purpose of the foundation is to encourage and inspire women to gain education and achieve economic independence and general emancipation within their societies. We would like to contribute to the ultimate goal of an ever increasing equality of women’s aspects of social and private life all over the world.
If men can have their rights and freedoms,
we are entitled to having them, too.

The FSF Foundation is in the process of conducting scientific research and preparing an analysis on gender equality situations in particular societies and social environments, individually or collectively. It is redesigning existing and new methods and models in relation to the theoretical and practical aspects of complex fields of women’s activities. We aim to foster changes in legal frameworks within underdeveloped societies, provide support in adaptation and implementation of ‘role models’ from the developed societies, such as: coordination of policies and rules in the field of equal rights between women and men; preventing discrimination or inequality regarding ethnic or racial background in the field of employment and work; tracking the position of women in concrete societal environments, (un)protected by constitutional, legal and other international conventional rights; dealing with laws, acts and regulations, implemented by concrete governments and followed by responsibilities towards equal rights of all women in private and public life; helping in preparation of analysis, reports and other materials in the field of gender equality.
We don’t want
to break the laws but
Empowering African girls
Femmes Sans Frontieres Foundation has started a closer collaboration with Masozera Foundation from Rwanda in Africa – running a special project near Lake Burera to help young girls to stay in school. The objective of their work is to provide a conductive environment for girls and women to create solutions for their own challenges rather than rely on hand-outs. Every single day, girls drop out of school because parents believe it’s better to educate a boy than a girl child. Despite the fact that Rwanda has done very well on the women empowerment front, this is still very much a culture challenge.
Today, the concept of working young females is still foreign in this part of the world. Women are very closed off from entrepreneurial knowledge and this makes them victims at times and denies them the chance to succeed in many ways. When girls drop out of school they turn to uncles and male relatives for help, which is not always the best way. As a result, many get raped, or worse, to pay back for the help. Our goal is help in creating a safe space, where girls can sign-up, challenge themselves creatively, learn technical entrepreneurial skills in order to fend for their school fees, provide for their own basic needs and face the world head-on. In turn, it will empower them, boost their pride and personal dignity. FSF together with Masozera want to expose and mentor more girls and women in this part of the world, where a young girl can give birth to the next ground-breaking idea and find her way through to a better tomorrow. Our success can later take an important role in changing the situation in Uganda, Congo and wider Africa.
We are budgeting currently a support of 20.000 EUR for this project. This would enable 30 girls to undertake their own empowerment path, assuming costs of 600 EUR per girl per annum (12 x 50 EUR of subsistence per month).
WEF Slovenia 2020
After a noticeable public performance on the topic of “Living a Wholistic Life in the 21st Century with a Special Country Focus” at WEF Tomar 2019 conference, in Portugal, Femmes Sans Frontieres Foundation was invited to cooperate on the Organisation Committee for WEF Slovenia 2020. Every year, Women Economic Forum (WEF) holds a number of conferences and symposiums in carefully selected destinations. For February 7th and 8th 2020, Ljubljana and Slovenia have been given the privilege to host more than 300 women from all over the world with cross cutting backgrounds, with the main theme: “Power of the pack: Women Trustfully Supporting Women”.
Why? Traditionally, we, women, have been taught to be distrustful of one another due to scarcity of top jobs. It’s clear that strategy doesn’t work. The truth is that supporting one another raises us up collectively and channels the power of collaboration which is truly how we’ll change the spiraling equation... and have a lot more fun along the way. We need to reverse the stereotype that women don’t support other women. Studies unequivocally show that women supporting other women are more successful in business and happier in private life. Thus, we invite women without borders to join us in WEF Slovenia 2020 and bring studies of unity and support into reality. Let's empower our Pack!
Being an arm of the global network ALL Ladies League (ALL), Women Economic Forum (WEF) is a multinational forum platform enabling women and leaders from all walks of life and worldwide to expand business opportunities and enhance personal influence through networking across borders, while being inspired by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, authors, thought leaders and celebrities. With connections of 100,000+ members and inspiring women across 150 countries, ALL & WEF are among the largest women’s networks offering the widest outreach to women in the spirit of “sisters beyond borders.”
